We arrived at Lantern Hill last night around 6:30PM EST which made for a 15 hour travel day. The group was pretty wiped out but we made it through all the essentials to prepare for the week. Trying to stay as late as we could to account for the time shift, we watched the sunset, played some games and had some wonderful conversation. We're excited to go to Colonia 89 tomorrow to begin serving the community. I'm really looking forward to seeing Javier, whom I haven't seen in 3 years. He's a great man with great faith. His terrible English and my terrible Spanish make for hilarious conversations.

Here's what y'all are missing in Baltimore: hot, hot, hot!! Yesterday (Friday) was the second highest all-time heat record: measured 108 downtown and 106 at the airport. A good week to be away! The heat's supposed to break right about the time you return...are you bringing the tradewinds back with you?
